Apartment Herb Garden
I live in an apartment with no balcony or outdoor space, but I love fresh herbs. Solution - an indoor herb garden.
Because I love to make things from scratch, I decided to grow the herbs from seeds myself.
Needed
Mason jars or tins (whole or diced tomatoes are a perfect size)
Soil
Herb seeds - whatever you would like; I started off with basil, parsley, oregano and chives
Directions
Following the instructions on the seed packages, fill the jars with soil, put in seeds, and cover. Make sure to water them often and keep them in the sun - these two are key to successful herb growing.
Mine were kept along the window ledge in my kitchen. However, you can place them in a cute wooden crate, or mount them on the wall using pipe clamps and old wooden boards that can then be mounted on the wall to save on space.
